History

PRAHD started as an anti-delinquency agency focused on the youth of the community. 46 years later, PRAHD has stayed true to that mission while growing to meet the other needs of community. Today, PRAHD boasts several youth programs.

Kids Club

Kids Club is a morning and after school program for children ages 5-13. Kids Club also offers free tennis lessons to all students by a certified instructor, and students can participate in tennis events throughout the school year and summer.

Camp By the Bay

Camp By The Bay is PRAHD’s summer camp open to children ages 5-13. Located just 2 blocks up from the bay, our campers enjoy the benefit of the close proximity to the bay where they participate in outdoor activities as well as provide educational lessons conducted both indoor and outdoors. Our campers also enjoy field trips, guest speakers, and sports lessons.

Entre Mujeres

Entre Mujeres is an after-school program geared towards girls ages 14-18. Entre Mujeres focuses on teaching our students about leadership, civic responsibility and community service, cultural identity and empowerment.

Being a part of this group was honestly one of the best decisions I could’ve made. I heard about this program through a friend who was attending and I thought I’d check it out. This group has really helped with ways to keep up with my mental health. It’s shown me how important it is to take care of ourselves. This program has also helped me with learning about women’s rights and how to advocate for them. I try to use what I’ve learned to educate others and help them understand that women are the future.
