The Pioneras en STEM summer program offers young Latinas, called scholars, the opportunity to explore their interests, skills, and potential career paths in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Rather than simply teaching STEM concepts, this program encourages participants to think critically about their unique strengths and how they can relate to future opportunities in these fields.

Throughout the program, scholars learn about successful women in STEM, gaining insights into their journeys to success. By sharing real-life examples, the program addresses challenges that may arise in pursuing STEM careers, offering practical advice on how to navigate and overcome them. Participants explore issues that women often face in these industries, and learn from the experiences of others who have overcome similar obstacles.

This program is a collaboration between UnidosUS, PRAHD, and the Middlesex College Success Bound program. Together, we are providing essential resources and inspiration to help young Latinas discover their potential and build a future in STEM.
